- CMS or Content Management System
- Software that enables non technical people to publish content to the web. When driven by a database it can automate file storage and retrieval, add search functionality and other powerful features depending on the system.

- Dynamic Site
- A site where content is stored separately from the structure, usually in a database. The page is only assembled when called by a browser.

- PHP - Hypertext Preprocessor
- A programing language that provides functionality to web pages. It's provided free by an open source community making it a cost effective choice for any website. PHP is very stable having been in continuous development since 1995 and used by over 20 million websites today.

- Static Site
- A website built with complete page files. Page structure and content exist together although formating may be stored in a separate stylesheet.
